Welcome to "Gateway to Technology"
These training sessions will be divided into 5 modules -- one training module per scheduled session. The modules include: text processing, spreadsheets, communications, digital publishing, and research resources. These modules are designed as blended instruction to
include face-to-face as well as online components that will prepare pre-service teachers to integrate technology in the classroom to support and enhance teaching and learning. While you will develop many skills throughout these modules, the primary goal is for you to understand the 'how' and 'why' of technology integration and to train your compadres to integrate technology into their curricula. These modules will be utilized to deliver instruction and promote communication and interaction.This webpage contains the learning modules for these training sessions. You will use this link regularly, so book mark it. The 5 weekly modules contain all the instructions and assignments you need to complete each set of instructions. Gateway to Technology Grant Information Guidelines for Gateway to Technology Training Series: I. Attendance Requirements Sign in will be done every meeting day. Each individual must sign in personally. Tardiness: within a 15-minute grace period* Absences: 15-minute grace period before class and before dismissal* II. Sequence of Module Set -- Sessions are to be taken in the order they are offered. Participants must sign in for another set if they want to retake a specific module. III. Electronic Devices Cell phones are to be set on vibrate. Personal laptops cannot connect to the UOG/GDOE wireless system, unless a participant is a current UOG student. IV. Break: One 15-minute break during module at instructor’s discretion. *NOTES: 15/15-minute rule will result in an absence. |
